What does strength coaching for women look like here?
You lift with a coach beside you: squats, presses, rows, hinges and pull-up work, at weights picked for you and raised only when you have earned it.
Every session has a plan. You know what you are doing before you walk in, and you see your numbers go up in the app afterwards.
It happens in person at TG The Gym in North Phoenix, either 1-on-1 or in a small group of up to four people with one coach.
I've never lifted. Is that a problem?
No. Starting from zero is normal, and it is the easiest place to coach from because there are no habits to undo.
The first weeks are about learning a handful of movements well. The weight comes after the technique, not before it.
If you are coming back after time away, kids, or an injury that has healed, we start from what your body can do today, not from what it used to do.
Will lifting heavy make me bulky?
Not by accident. Adding a lot of muscle takes years of hard training and eating to grow, so it only happens if that is the goal you choose.
What most people notice first is that everyday things get easier: carrying groceries, picking up a child, getting up off the floor.
We set the goal together, and you decide how far to take it.
Can you help me get my first pull-up?
Yes. A first pull-up is built in steps: assisted reps, slow lowers and back strength, with one clear next step each week.
How long it takes depends on where you start, so we measure your starting point on the bar in your first session rather than promise a date.
The steps are written up in the guide to a pull-up program you can start before you can do one.
Where are sessions, and who do you train?
Sessions are at TG The Gym, 3901 E Thunderbird Rd, Suite 101-103, at Thunderbird Rd & 40th St in North Phoenix.
Clients come from across Phoenix, Scottsdale and Paradise Valley. Sessions are by appointment, so we pick times that fit your week.
